Radiologic Technologist -- Orthopedic Surgeons

Job Summary
Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures for orthopedic and sports medicine patients as ordered by licensed providers, adhering to hospital policy, New York State guidelines, and ethical standards. Assist in all aspects of orthopedic operations while maintaining compassionate communication with apprehensive patients and effective interaction with physicians and staff. Think and act quickly to deliver efficient quality care in stressful situations. Hold a New York State license, ARRT Radiographer registration, and BLS certification. Primary shift runs 8:00am-4:30pm with a secondary option of 7:30am-4:00pm.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed by the New York State Department of Health (includes temporary license)
- Registered by ARRT Radiographer (R)
- Sufficient sensitivity and interpersonal skills in dealing with apprehensive patients and families in a professional and compassionate manner
- Positive and effective communicating skills for interaction with physicians and staff in any situation
- Ability to think and act quickly in order to deliver efficient quality care in a variety of stressful situations
- BLS certified (or obtained within 3 months)
