Job Summary
Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures for orthopedic and sports medicine patients under provider orders, adhering to hospital policy and New York State guidelines. Assist in all aspects of orthopedic operations while maintaining ethical and professional standards. Demonstrate quick thinking and compassionate communication with apprehensive patients and families, and interact effectively with physicians and staff. Maintain BLS certification and ARRT registration. Apply within seven days for bargaining unit priority consideration.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed by the New York State Department of Health (includes temporary license)
- Registered by ARRT Radiographer (R)
- Sufficient sensitivity and interpersonal skills in dealing with apprehensive patients and families in a professional and compassionate manner
- Positive and effective communicating skills for interaction with physicians and staff in any situation
- Ability to think and act quickly in order to deliver efficient quality care in a variety of stressful situations
- BLS certified (or obtained within 3 months)
