Job Summary
Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures in various settings for patients as ordered by licensed providers, adhering to hospital policy and New York State guidelines. Assist in all aspects of Orthopedic and Sports Medicine operations while maintaining ethical and professional standards. Communicate effectively with physicians and staff, demonstrating quick thinking to deliver efficient care in stressful situations. Ensure patient safety through compassionate interaction and appropriate handling of special needs based on patient age. Maintain New York State licensure, ARRT registration, and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed by the New York State Department of Health (includes temporary license)
- Registered by ARRT Radiographer (R)
- Sufficient sensitivity and interpersonal skills in dealing with apprehensive patients and families in a professional and compassionate manner
- Positive and effective communicating skills for interaction with physicians and staff in any situation
- Ability to think and act quickly in order to deliver efficient quality care in a variety of stressful situations
- BLS certified (or obtained within 3 months)
