Job Summary
Perform radiographic procedures at a technical level, assuming responsibility for procedures performed without constant supervision. Operate x-ray equipment, including mobile units, to select exposure factors and evaluate radiographs while lifting and transporting patients. Recognize emergency situations and communicate effectively within a collaborative team. Achieve ARRT registry eligibility within six months of hire or one year in Arkansas. This role supports the future of healthcare through innovation and compassion at Mercy Health.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program
- Completed required clinical hours
- High school graduate or equivalent
- State licensure
- ARRT registry or registry eligible
- Technical skill in radiologic procedures
- Understanding of basic anatomy
- Capability to manipulate x-ray equipment, including mobile and other equipment
- Capability to carry cassettes
- Capability to select and manipulate exposure factors
- Capability to evaluate radiographs
- Capability to lift, move, and transport patients
- Capability for continual standing and walking
- Capability to recognize emergency situations
- Capability to adapt to stressful situations
- Capability to communicate effectively
- Proficiency in the use of radiographic equipment
- Proficiency in the use of radiographic processors
- Proficiency in the use of computers
