Job Summary
Perform quality x-rays in a timely manner by preparing patients for radiology procedures, maintaining patient safety, and ensuring the radiology area is clean and organized. Communicate with patients and medical facilities regarding radiology tests and assist with patient flow by obtaining vital signs. Follow compliance and safety requirements and perform Quality Control measures as needed. Must possess excellent patient care skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Radiology Technologist Degree
- Certified by ARRT
- Current AART certification
- Current CPR and AED certification
- Excellent patient care skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Verbal and written skills necessary to communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers, patients, insurance companies and physician office personnel
- Basic computer, calculator, fax, copier skills
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years radiology experience preferred
- Physician office experience preferred
