Job Summary
Radiologic Technologist needed for Full-Time Nights at Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital. Responsible for positioning patients and adjusting radiology equipment to obtain diagnostic X-rays per established procedures, instructing patients, following radiation safety standards, selecting appropriate exposure, maintaining examination rooms and records, and collaborating with the radiology team and other departments. Maintains licensure/certification for modalities, participates in quality improvement/controls, and supports on-call Modalities with prompt reporting. The role requires current ARRT registration (Radiography and/or TX regulatory certification), BLS, active clinical experience in acute care, and preferred cross-training in CT; it involves a professional, team-based environment with opportunities for advancement and ongoing education.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Minimum of ARRT registration in Radiography and/or medical Radiologic Technologist certification from Texas Department of Health Bureau of Radiation Control
- Maintains current BLS certification
- Demonstrates knowledge of operation of assigned equipment through competency skills checklist(s)
- Minimum of one year experience in an acute care facility
- Prefer cross-trained in CT
