Job Summary
Radiologic Technologist sought to perform imaging procedures in an Urgent Care setting. Responsibilities include operating imaging equipment, providing patient care during imaging, and functioning as a Medical Assistant when needed (room patients, obtain vitals, reconcile medications, interview patients to identify chief complaints). Ensure proper documentation in the EMR, apply professional judgment, and adhere to health-system policies and standards. Collaborates with team to deliver high-quality patient care, upholds privacy and confidentiality, and supports continuing education and tuition reimbursement benefits. Preferred candidates have 3–5 years of experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist with ARRT/RDMS/NMTCB credentials and a Bachelor degree or equivalent experience; strong communication skills and computer proficiency are valued.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiography program
- ARRT Certification/Eligible in good standing
- State of Connecticut License/Eligible
- Good judgment and problem solving skills
- Good organizational skills
- Three to five years experience as Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT, RDMS, NMTCB etc) preferred
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience (preferred)
- Demonstrated competency in imaging modalities
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Flexibility and teamwork to ensure positive patient care
- Computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets
