Radiologic Technologist

Operate digital fluoroscopic and portable radiology equipment to obtain routine radiographs of designated body areas according to physician specifications and protocols. Acquire and evaluate ordered images for technical quality, ensuring proper patient identification and labeling while adhering to radiation safety and organizational policies. Communicate effectively with patients to obtain medical history, explain procedures, and address their physical and psychological needs during care. Prioritize patient flow, coordinate care through consistent communication, and document activities in electronic health records before distributing final images to the PACS system. Maintain a clean, safe work environment, manage supplies and inventory, and perform quality control activities on equipment. Participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives, student and employee training, and educational activities. Adhere to ARRT Standards of Ethics, departmental policies, and federal, state, and accreditation requirements.
