Job Summary
Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic medical imaging exams and procedures on all patient populations from neonate through geriatric. Operate radiographic equipment to produce quality images in Radiology Departments, Emergency Department, Operating Room, Special Procedures, and bedside settings. Explain procedures to patients, demonstrate appropriate positioning, and obtain optimum views of specified anatomy. Adjust equipment controls based on established guidelines and exhibit superior customer service. Demonstrate effective radiation safety practices and assist the attending provider when necessary. Interact with numerous computer programs and systems on a daily basis. Perform various other duties as assigned by the Radiology Supervisor or Director of Diagnostic Imaging. Requires ARRT Registry in Radiography and Mammography, licensed Radiologic Technologist status, and current Basic Life Support certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registry in Radiography (R)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registry in Mammography (M)
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT) through the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts (KSBHA)
- Current eligible Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification or completion of eligible BLS Certification within first 90 days of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Previous mammography experience
- Previous hospital experience
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registry in Bone Densitometry (BD)
