Job Summary

Perform diagnostic imaging exams on patients using specialized equipment, including fluoroscopy and mobile imaging, while ensuring proper patient identification, order verification, and comfort. Review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy, adhering to radiation safety guidelines and department protocols to complete studies within acceptable time limits. Assist and instruct students and other technologists in exam protocols, positioning, and equipment operation. Maintain accurate records of procedures and adverse reactions while following medical necessity, coding, and reporting requirements. Operate equipment and information systems to ensure high-quality imaging results in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Required Qualifications

  • ARRT certification
  • Radiologic technologist license in state of practice
  • Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
  • Demonstrated experience in a variety of diagnostic areas, including acute care experience
  • Currently working in an acute care setting performing a variety of diagnostic exams, including fluoroscopy (fixed and/or c-arm) and mobile imaging
  • IV certification

Desired Qualifications

  • 1-2 years radiology experience
  • Previous leadership experience
  • 3-5 years demonstrated experience as a Radiology Technologist
