Job Summary
Deliver class and clinical instruction according to an approved syllabus using effective teaching methods, while developing daily lesson plans, advising students, and maintaining accurate attendance and grade records. Remain current in applicable program teaching fields and participate in faculty meetings, professional growth activities, and annual in-service training sessions. Engage in college activities including faculty meetings, student functions, graduation exercises, and new student orientations to support student success, retention, and preparation for entry-level healthcare positions. Requires three years of occupational experience with two in diagnostic radiography, plus one year of teaching experience, a baccalaureate degree, and current ARRT, California CRT, and CPR certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of occupational experience in the subject field or closely related field
- Two (2) years of full-time clinical experience in diagnostic radiography
- Minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience in the subject areas taught
- Demonstrate prior training in instructional methodology and teaching skills from a formal teacher educational program or any comparable training program or formal in-house training program
- Baccalaureate degree
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography
- Current CRT permit (State of California certification)
- Current CPR Card
