Job Summary
Competently perform routine and specialized radiology procedures to produce quality images for diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring. Execute safe, precise procedures while exercising sound judgment and gaining patient cooperation through effective communication. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations to ensure privacy and safety. Prioritize assignments, work within standardized operating procedures, and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions. Collaborate with peers and healthcare providers to achieve departmental objectives while maintaining accurate patient records in electronic systems.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program
- ARRT-American Register of Radiologic Technologist certification
- Evidence of application for CRT/DRT or CRT/DRT certification
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification
- General knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles, procedures, views, and equipment
- Experience responding to traumas and various hospital emergencies
- Capable of performing routine radiographic examinations
- Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
- Written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences
- Well-developed time management and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods
- General knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge of Radiology (RIS), laboratory (LIS), electronic health records (EHR), EPIC, and picture archive and communication system (PACS)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to accomplish multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions
- Ability to identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options
- Ability to ensure the privacy of each patient's protected health information (PHI)
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with peers and other healthcare providers
- Availability for one weekend shift per month
- Ability to work a Day/Evening schedule
- Ability to work Per Diem/Casual shift hours
- Ability to work Monday - Friday schedule
- Ability to work 8 Days of the Week
