Job Summary
Perform radiologic procedures with x-ray equipment upon physician request, obtaining patient history and explaining exams while positioning patients to reduce radiation exposure. Manage workflow to ensure timely care, inform patients of appointment delays, and maintain clean work areas with stocked emergency supplies. Process patients through the hospital information system and PACS, review daily policy updates, and assist radiologists during fluoroscopy. Requires an active IN Radiologic Technologist License, ARRT registration, and Basic Life Support Certification. This role offers flexible scheduling for Methodist Hospitals, supporting compassionate patient care and strict adherence to confidentiality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Active IN Radiologic Technologist License
- ARRT (R) Radiography Registration through The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Basic Life Support Certification
- All post high school education obtained from a recognized College or University
- Associates Radiology
- Demonstrated clinical competency in the field of radiology
- Developed verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- A high degree of independent action and exercise of judgment
- Creative ability
- Ability to work under required deadlines and schedules
- Ability to multi-task under stressful situations
- Ability to professionally handle stressful situations
- Ability to provide compassionate patient care
- Must be detailed oriented
- Demonstrates knowledge of procedures for protecting and maintaining security, confidentiality and integrity of employee, patient, family, organizational and other medical information
