Job Summary
Radiologic Tech II in Orthopedics performs routine and specialized diagnostic radiology procedures including X-ray and Fluoroscopy (support for OR cases) with digital radiography/fluoroscopy. Supports patient care, mentors Radiologic Technologist I and students, and collaborates with physicians to deliver high-quality imaging while adhering to ALARA radiation safety standards. Responsible for safe, accurate procedures, clear patient instructions, documentation, and active participation in safety, quality, and continuing education initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT-R Radiologic Technologist
- CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist
- Texas State Licensure
- BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA)
- Experience: Three years as a Radiologic Technologist
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, families and coworkers
- Proficient with Hospital/Radiology Information Systems and office software
- Demonstrates skills to mentor Radiologic Technologist I and students
