Radiologic Technologist II CT/XRAY Part Time Weekends

Job Summary

Conduct diagnostic radiography imaging procedures for CT and X-ray modalities with limited supervision, preparing contrast media and calibrating equipment to ensure clear images. Complete patient intakes, review charts and requisitions for special instructions, and educate patients on procedures while maintaining accurate records. Perform final coding functions, ensure proper sterilization and equipment maintenance, and recognize emergency situations to initiate codes when necessary. Collaborate with physicians and radiologists to coordinate procedures, assist in training new staff, and utilize SBAR for shift handoffs. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current practices, adhere to HIPAA regulations, and participate in on-call weekend and holiday coverage.

Required Qualifications

  • Radiologic Technologist II
  • Computed Tomography (CT)
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
  • Interventional Radiology (IR)
  • At least two (2) years of experience working in a hospital or medical institution as a registered/certified radiological technician in X-Ray, MRI, CT, or IR
  • On-call, weekend and holiday coverage participation
  • Working knowledge of hospital emergency codes
  • Working knowledge of the requirements of the Life Safety program
  • Working knowledge of the requirements of the Utilities Management program
  • Working knowledge of the requirements of the Hazardous Materials program
  • Working knowledge of the requirements of the Emergency Preparedness program
  • Working knowledge of the requirements of the Safety Management program
  • Working knowledge of the requirements of the Medical Equipment Management program
  • Working knowledge of the requirements of the Security Management program
  • Knowledge of role in a disaster
  • Knowledge of fire and fire drill procedures
  • Knowledge of patient rights policy
  • Compliance with the compliance program
  • Standard precautions in the clinical setting
  • PC (computer) skills
