Job Summary
Review patient history, physician orders, and schedules; educate patients on procedures and equipment to ensure cooperation. Prepare and administer contrast media or medications when ordered, while monitoring patient condition and reporting status changes. Select exposure factors, position patients, and perform imaging procedures, then analyze results to resolve image quality issues. Enter and transmit images, troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, and implement safety standards and quality control procedures. Work within a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, utilizing critical thinking and decisive judgment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (R) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R)
- Specialty ARRT certification(s) if required for position
- State licensure if required by law
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
