Job Summary

Performs radiologic imaging procedures in accordance with scope and standards of practice, reviews patient history and physician orders, educates patients about procedures and equipment, administers contrast media as needed within scope of practice, monitors patient condition, prepares equipment, selects correct exposure factors and imaging parameters, ensures safety and conducts quality control, positions patients, analyzes and transmits images, and may work with radiology students. Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Eligibility includes graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program, ARRT registration, state licensure as applicable, and BLS/CPR certification.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (R)
  • Special ARRT certification(s) if required for position
  • State licensure if required by law
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer
  • card in-hand before start date
  • BLS or CPR card good through sixty days of hire
