Job Summary
Perform medical exams using X-rays on patients to create images for diagnostic interpretation. Assist with diagnostic exams, perform clerical duties including record keeping, and maintain high-quality services while communicating effectively with patients and care providers. Must be actively enrolled in an accredited Radiology program, hold ARRT registration within six months of hire, and possess current Basic Life Support certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support is preferred. This entry-level role supports the diagnostic radiology team at Medical University of South Carolina, a Magnet® designated hospital recognized as a top one percent of American hospitals.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology
- Zero to two years of modality specific work experience
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 6 months of hire
- Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers or AHA recognized equivalent
- Certification from an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
