Job Summary
Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs, positions and instructs patients prior to examinations, and determines proper exposure parameters. Produces diagnostic images, documents exam information, and reports important findings. Ensures patient safety and equipment readiness; verifies exams on PACS. Requires ARRT-R, RT practice in CA/HI, and BLS certification; Associate’s degree preferred. Work focuses on diagnostic imaging procedures and imaging workflow in a radiology setting.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT-R: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography required
- Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice required in CA and HI
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology: preferred
