Job Summary
Performs diagnostic radiographic imaging under radiologists supervision using ALARA techniques; prepares and positions patients, operates imaging equipment (GE Portables, Philips Xray rooms, OEC GE C-arms, Hologic DEXA), and assists with invasive procedures as requested. Maintains imaging quality by determining exposure factors, evaluating technique and positioning, and ensuring radiation safety. Provides excellent patient care and collaborates with radiology staff to support efficient diagnostic imaging workflows. Requires ARRT registration (R.T. (R)), Texas license, BLS CPR, and an Associates degree in Radiologic Science (or ARRT-accredited program); preferred Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Science and at least one year of radiologic technologist experience. Shift: Full Time, Friday–Monday, 12p–8p.
Required Qualifications
- Associates in Radiologic Science and/or graduation from an ARRT-accredited program
- R.T. (R) ARRT
- Texas License
- BLS CPR
- Entry level registered technologist
- One year experience as radiologic technologist (preferred)
- Knowledge of ALARA principles, anatomy, positioning, radiographic physics, radiation protection, and patient care
- Ability to determine exposure factors and produce optimum images with minimal patient exposure
- Proficiency with imaging equipment (GE Portables, Philips Xray rooms, OEC GE C-arms, Hologic DEXA) and ability to adjust protocols to improve techniques
