Job Summary
Operate imaging equipment to produce radiographs of designated body areas, selecting proper technical factors and providing safe, age-appropriate care. Assist physicians in administering opaque media, transport and position patients, and maintain patient flow while coordinating imaging procedures. Troubleshoot laser printing equipment and PACS, maintain quality control for the designated area, and participate in hospital-wide quality assurance programs. Perform clerical duties, maintain records, and attend staff meetings and in-service programs. Train ancillary personnel as necessary and demonstrate competence in a multi-modality department. Participate in on-call assignments and work schedule changes per department needs.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT (R)
- BLS Certification following American Heart Association guidelines
- Required CRT license
- fluoro permit
- One to five years experience as a staff technologist
- All required vaccinations
- E-Verify participation
- Able to maintain a positive professional manner in dealing with many individuals and situations often involving stressful or difficult circumstances
- Able to organize and maintain good follow-up
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate a pull lift of 50 pounds from the floor
- Close vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Conform with all HIPAA and other confidentiality regulations
- Participate in On-Call assignments and work schedule changes when necessary or per the needs of the department
- Perform in a multi-modality department with technical competence
- Provide radiation protection for self and patient
- Maintains and meets expectations on time for all competencies, license, certifications and education requirements as outlined by local administration, Adventist Health (AH), The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and all other regulatory agencies
Desired Qualifications
- EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: One to five years experience as a staff technologist preferred
