Job Summary
Operate imaging equipment to produce radiographs, select proper technical factors, and position patients while providing radiation protection. Assist physicians with administering opaque media and perform all department functions ranging from clerical to technical tasks. Maintain patient flow, coordinate imaging procedures, and manage records with working knowledge of patient orders and charges. Troubleshoot lazar printing equipment and PACS, while maintaining quality control for the designated area and participating in hospital-wide quality assurance programs. Attend staff meetings and in-service programs, taking responsibility for ongoing continuing education and training ancillary personnel. Participate in on-call assignments and work schedule changes as needed. Requires ARRT certification, BLS, and CRT license; offers up to $20,000 hiring incentive and $5,000 relocation. Located in Upper Lake, CA.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT (R)
- BLS Certification following American Heart Association guidelines
- Required CRT license
- fluoro permit
- One to five years experience as a staff technologist
- All required vaccinations
- E-Verify participation
- Able to maintain a positive professional manner in dealing with many individuals and situations often involving stressful or difficult circumstances
- Able to organize and maintain good follow-up
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate a pull lift of 50 pounds from the floor
- Close vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Conform with all HIPAA and other confidentiality regulations
- Participate in On-Call assignments and work schedule changes when necessary or per the needs of the department
- Perform in a multi-modality department with technical competence
- Provide radiation protection for self and patient
- Maintains and meets expectations on time for all competencies, license, certifications and education requirements as outlined by local administration, Adventist Health (AH), The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and all other regulatory agencies
Desired Qualifications
- EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: One to five years experience as a staff technologist preferred
