Job Summary
Operate imaging equipment to produce radiographs of designated body areas, selecting proper technical factors and providing safe, age-appropriate care. Assist physicians with administering opaque media, transport and position patients, and maintain patient flow and coordination of imaging procedures. Troubleshoot lazar printing equipment and PACS, maintain designated area quality control, and participate in hospital-wide quality assurance programs. Maintain records, attend staff meetings, and instruct ancillary personnel as necessary. Perform On-Call assignments and work schedule changes per department needs. Requires ARRT (R) certification, BLS, and CRT license with fluoro permit within six months.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT (R)
- BLS Certification following American Heart Association guidelines
- Required CRT license
- fluoro permit
- One to five years experience as a staff technologist
- Able to maintain a positive professional manner in dealing with many individuals and situations often involving stressful or difficult circumstances
- Able to organize and maintain good follow-up
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- All required vaccinations
- Medical and religious exemptions (where applicable)
- E-Verify participation acknowledgment
- Demonstrate a pull lift of 50 pounds from the floor
- Close vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Willingness to participate in On-Call assignments and work schedule changes
- Technical competence in a multi-modality department
- Knowledge of patient orders, status changes, patient charges and profiles
- Ability to maintain and meet expectations on time for all competencies, license, certifications and education requirements
Desired Qualifications
- EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: One to five years experience as a staff technologist preferred
