Required Qualifications

• •High School Diploma
• •Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist program
• •Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA)
• •American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration
• •State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
• •Experience in a clinical setting
• •Knowledge of X-ray procedures and protocols
• •Knowledge of anatomy and physiology necessary to perform X-ray testing including body mechanics and patient movement
• •Knowledge of radiology equipment including safety hazards common to radiology
• •Ability to position patients properly for the X-ray procedure required
• •Ability to identify equipment problems and correcting or notifying supervisor
• •Ability to follow infection control and radiological safety procedures
