Job Summary
Perform all radiology procedures under the direction of the Radiologist and Radiology Director, operating sophisticated equipment in accordance with ACR, ARRT, state regulations, and departmental policies. Provide expert patient care across all demographics, maintaining flexibility in a rapidly changing environment while planning, designing, and evaluating work independently. Coordinate activities simultaneously, manage on-call responsibilities, and work collaboratively with physicians, diverse teams, and the public. Perform duties as an ARRT Technologist, including potential overtime, while adhering to department standards. Schedule includes weekends on the 3rd shift with 40 weekly hours.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or obtain within 6 months
- Licensed as a radiologic technologist by the SCRQSA
- CPR certification
- Weekends on 3rd shift
- Ability to function effectively in fast-paced environment with multiple demands/deadlines
- Ability to plan and organize
- Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple others of diverse cultures, educational backgrounds, and experience
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public
- Ability to follow directions and to perform work according to department standards when no directions are given
- Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must possess ability to remain flexible in a rapidly changing environment and current dynamic health care climate
- Demonstrated ability to plan, design, implement and evaluate one's own work and to work independently with minimal observation or supervision
- Requires good interpersonal skills
- Ability to coordinate several activities simultaneously
- Position may require some overtime, on-call responsibilities
