Job Summary
Operate radiologic equipment to produce radiographs, including routine, portable, operating room, and fluoroscopic exams. Perform complex procedures, position patients, adjust equipment, and explain various procedures to reduce anxiety and obtain cooperation. Assist in training radiology staff and students, participate in quality assurance activities, and complete patient care documentation in the Radiology Information System. Troubleshoot equipment problems, clean procedure rooms, and stock supplies while following safety requirements and radiation protection techniques. Requires ARRT registration, BLS certification, and one year of experience. Full-time, 40-hour shift from 7 AM to 3:30 PM at Emory University Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association
- Minimum of one (1) year experience
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs
- Occasional to frequent standing & walking
- Occasional sitting
- Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing)
- Shift work
- Travel may be required
