Radiologic Technologist

Job Summary
Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic radiographs, including routine, portable, and fluoroscopic exams. Position patients, adjust exposure factors, and explain procedures to reduce anxiety while ensuring patient cooperation. Provide guidance to lower-level technologists and students, assist in training, and support quality assurance and improvement activities. Anticipate potential patient crises during procedures and complete patient care documentation within the Radiology Information System. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, clean procedure rooms, and stock supplies while adhering to all radiation safety and hospital protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required
- Must have a minimum of one (1) year experience
- 20-50 lbs lifting requirement
- Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs
- Occasional to frequent standing & walking
- Occasional sitting
- Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing)
- Shift work
- Travel may be required
