Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic medical radiographic procedures on all patient populations from neonates to geriatrics by operating radiographic equipment to produce quality images in the Radiology Department, Emergency Department, Operating Room, or at the patient's bedside. Explain procedures to patients, demonstrate appropriate positioning, and obtain optimum views of specified anatomy while adjusting exposure factors based on established guidelines. Demonstrate effective radiation safety practices, assist the Radiologist when necessary, and interact with numerous computer programs and systems daily. Perform various other duties as assigned by the Radiology Supervisor or Director of Radiology.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
- Registered or registry eligible Radiologic Technologist
- American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) or graduate student eligible for exam
- Kansas License for Radiology Technology
- Basic Life Support certification from either American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Health Care Provider, or Basic Life Support (American Heart Association-Health Care Provider), or successfully completes within the first 90 days of employment
