Job Summary
Perform radiologic procedures and operate x-ray equipment to produce diagnostic images for pediatric imaging at Children's of Mississippi (PRN). Explain procedures, obtain medical history, set up equipment, and properly position patients to obtain optimal images. Review images for quality and forward for interpretation; maintain documentation and supplies; ensure patient safety and comfort. Maintain adherence to radiation protection practices and workplace safety protocols; respond to equipment malfunctions and report them to supervisor. Requires licensure as a Medical Radiologic Technologist in Mississippi, BLS within 90 days post-hire, and ARRT radiography certification within six months post-hire. Time type: Part time; rotating shifts; location: Main Campus Jackson, MS, USA.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Radiologic Technologist license from the Mississippi State Department of Health
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association required post-hire within 90 days
- Radiography (R) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required post-hire within six (6) months
