Job Summary
Produce high-quality X-ray images in an inpatient setting by performing examinations per provider orders, ensuring patient safety and accurate documentation. Apply knowledge of human anatomy and proper positioning, utilize immobilization devices when needed, prepare the room and equipment, verify patient identity and exam details in electronic systems, and maintain accurate records. May train new employees and lead day-to-day imaging activities under supervision; duties include paper and computer work, image transfer to PACS, and ensuring timely radiologist interpretation. Requires completion of formal radiologic technology training and current NYS licensure (CRT) and ARRT certification.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
- CRT - Certified Radiologic Technologist current NYS licensure upon hire
- ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with CE credits upon hire
