Job Summary
The Radiologic Technologist performs standard x-ray examinations using radiologic equipment, ensuring proper technique and patient positioning as ordered by the provider; responsibilities include performing blood draws, taking vital signs, inputting medical histories, administering injections and vaccines, assisting with medical procedures, preparing exam rooms and supplies, selecting appropriate radiation exposure, and sending/storing images. Requires graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, state licensure, ARRT certification, and BLS; prior Rad Tech experience is preferred though new graduates are encouraged to apply. Located in Louisiana with full-time and PRN opportunities at SouthStar Urgent Care locations, offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus for full-time roles and a focus on patient care in an urgent care setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
- Current state Radiologic Technologist licensure
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers
- ARRT certification
- Experience: Prior Radiologic Technologist experience preferred, but new graduates encouraged to apply
