RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST

Radiologic Technologist performs radiographs for diagnostic purposes under the radiologist's direction. Responsibilities include collecting patient data and procedure details, reconfirming patient identity and physician orders, selecting optimal imaging procedures, verifying pregnancy status when appropriate, providing patient information and obtaining consent, instructing patients on preparation and safety, determining imaging parameters and shielding, administering contrast agents when applicable, obtaining written consent for IV contrast, and ensuring accurate documentation in PACS, RIS/HIS, and patient records. Coordinates with Centralized Scheduling, nursing units, and ER to accommodate STAT or ASAP orders, maintains imaging equipment and performs daily QC, and adheres to safety and operational procedures. Required qualifications include completion of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology Program recognized by ARRT, ARRT registry (or within 90 days of hire/transfer), Basic Life Support (BLS), and approved Act 33/34/73 clearances with renewal. Travel between system locations may be expected; shifts may rotate and may include on-call duties.
