Job Summary
Bone Density radiologic technologist duties include operating radiographic equipment to produce diagnostic imaging, confirming correct patient/exam, explaining procedures to patients, adjusting equipment for proper exposure, labeling and transmitting exams to PACS, and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team in designated radiography area with potential coverage at other MGB sites. Requires ARRT registration within 90 days of hire, appropriate certification/licensure, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs; on-site 8-hour shift each Wednesday.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required within 90 days of hire
- Education: Radiography certificate/diploma required; Associate's Degree Radiography preferred
- Licenses and Credentials: Radiologic Technologist and Technician [State License] - Generic
- ARRT certification preferred
- Experience: 0-1 year preferred
