Job Summary
The Radiologic Technologist performs various radiographic technical procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnosis and therapy while exercising independent judgment. Responsible for mentoring student technologists and handling multiple priorities. Requires current ARRT registration, completion of a Radiographic Technology program, and current BLS certification. Must effectively communicate under stress and assist in patient transfers. Some exposure to infectious diseases and potential stressful conditions are involved.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Graduate of an approved school of Radiographic Technology
- Current registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography, RT(R), without restriction
- Ability to complete general orientation and clinical skills guides for a Radiologic Technologist
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to handle multiple demands and prioritize effectively
- Strong communication skills in English
- Current BLS certification
