Job Summary
Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of the body as ordered by physicians. Positions and instructs patients prior to examinations, adjusts exposure settings to determine proper voltage and exposure time, and ensures patient safety. Produces diagnostic images and documents exam information, verifies exams in PACS, and reports important information to the physician. Performs screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation and prepares equipment and examination rooms for patient exams.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in radiologic technology (preferred)
- ARRT-R: Required
- RT license in CA and HI: Required
- BLS certification: Required
- Fluoroscopy license: Required in CA within 6 months of hire
- Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) license: Required
- Vaccinations as a condition of employment
