Job Summary

Perform diagnostic procedures on patients using proper positioning, image identification, and professional care while adhering to medical precautions. Prepare patients for exams by communicating garment removal needs and explaining processes. Administer contrast media and medications as directed, monitor video displays, and report abnormal signs to physicians. Assist with quality control, maintain radiographic equipment, and process images. Transport patients and perform clerical duties as required. Closely follow provider instructions to help diagnose problems and ensure radiation safety for patients and staff. Adhere to all Advanced Pain Care policies and procedures with regular, predictable attendance.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
  • Current registration with ARRT
  • Successful completion of Basic Life Support
  • Three to five years of radiologic technologist experience preferred
  • Good visual acuity
  • Accurate color vision
  • Ability to lift/transfer patients in excess of 100 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl
  • Ability to reach, grasp, use fine finger movement
  • Ability to feel fine sensation to discern temperature, texture, size and shape

Desired Qualifications

  • Computer skills preferred
