Job Summary

Administer radiographic and fluoroscopic ionizing radiation to patients following prescribed protocols while preparing patients, equipment, and supplies prior to exams. Perform quality assurance and fluoroscopy checks, routine x-rays, and advanced fluoroscopy exams. Instruct and train clinical students as required. Maintain a full-time, varied shift schedule with a focus on nurturing, compassionate, and personalized patient-centered care. Hold a California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license, ARRT certification, BLS certification, and a California Fluoroscopy Permit.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree
  • ARRT-approved educational program in Radiography
  • California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • California Fluoroscopy Permit
  • Able to read
  • Able to write legibly
  • Speak in English with professional quality
  • Use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position
  • Able to safely and effectively operate all appropriate radiology equipment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with patients, physicians, and co-workers
  • Ability to communicate effectively about complex matters with others in a professional manner
  • Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing and on the telephone
  • Think critically
  • Pay close attention to detail to ensure correct patient identification
  • Recall information with accuracy
  • Perform basic math functions
  • Manage multiple assignments effectively
  • Work well under pressure
  • Problem solve
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Able to distinguish colors
