Job Summary
Radiologic Technologist role providing top-of-scope imaging and radiologic procedures in a fast-paced hospital setting. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, precepts new imaging staff, ensures patient education and understanding, maintains safety and quality at the point of care, and performs radiographic imaging with attention to image clarity, QA, and equipment functionality. Requires ARRT registration, state licensure as applicable, and BLS/CPR certification; involves administering contrast media as ordered and monitoring patient condition during imaging.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (R) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Specialty ARRT certification(s) if required for the position
- State licensure if required by law
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
- BLS or CPR card through American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer (valid through 60 days after hire)
- Radiography/X-ray procedures
- Patient history review and education
- Safe administration of contrast media or imaging medications
- Monitoring patient condition during imaging procedures
- Adherence to established Radiology best practices (AART)
- Quality control and equipment functionality
