Radiologic Tech - part-time - Nights

Job Summary
Perform outpatient and inpatient radiographic procedures using mobile and stationary equipment in General Diagnostics, Fluoroscopy, Emergency Radiography, and the Operating Room. Accurately conduct examinations, verify patient identification, review medical history, and ensure proper image identification while maintaining radiation protection and patient privacy. Prepare exam rooms, coordinate procedures, and prioritize patient care based on department policies and clinical needs. This part-time role involves 2 or 3 nights per week. Children's Wisconsin is a nationally recognized health system dedicated solely to the health and well-being of children, offering a $20,000 sign-on bonus for experienced techs and $15,000 for new grads.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of certification program from a school of Radiologic Technology
- Associate's Degree and/or Bachelor's Degree in radiology or associated field of study
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Safety Council
- License Radiographer (142) - State of Wisconsin
- ARRT - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- A desire to serve children and families
- Schedule: 2 or 3 nights/week
- Interpersonal skills to interact and communicate effectively with patients, patient care givers, physicians, and other department personnel and coworkers
- A high degree of flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to changing demand
- Analytical skills to make independent decisions when dealing with complex equipment, sedation of patients, and critical care patients
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving and attentiveness to detail
- Knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles and procedures as well as operation and maintenance of radiologic equipment
- Basic computer skills to operate a computer efficiently and effectively
- Ability to respond to clinical and administrative emergencies
- An understanding of Children's Wisconsin health care delivery system and the impact of other health care delivery systems on the patient and family
