Job Summary
Review patient history, initiate radiographic images based on physician orders, and prioritize procedural patient education to ensure cooperation. Safely administer contrast media or associated imaging medications while monitoring patient condition, and report changes in status as appropriate. Implement techniques to yield image clarity, maintain quality control, and ensure equipment functionality based on established best practices. Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in critical care nights within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- One year of experience
- Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (R) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R)
- Specialty ARRT certification(s) if required for position
- State licensure if required by law
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Valid driver's license
