Job Summary
Review patient history, physician orders, and schedules while educating patients on procedures and equipment. Prepare and administer contrast media or medications when ordered, continuously monitoring patient status and reporting changes. Select exposure factors, position patients, and perform imaging procedures, analyzing results to resolve quality issues. Prepare equipment, implement safety standards, and troubleshoot malfunctions as necessary. Enter and transmit images, working with radiology students within scope of practice. Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (R) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R)
- Specialty ARRT certification(s) if required for position
- State licensure if required by law
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
- Critical thinking skills
- Decisive judgement
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
