Job Summary
Radiographer/X-Ray Technologist position involves performing radiographic procedures and related techniques under the direction of the Lead Technologist and/or Site Manager. Key responsibilities include interacting with patients and healthcare professionals, documenting patient information, ensuring quality control of radiographic images, and maintaining a clean work environment. Candidates must have a high school diploma and complete a recognized Radiologic Technology program, hold a license from the Rhode Island Department of Health, and fulfill continued education requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Completion of a course of study in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program
- Current radiologic technologist license from the Rhode Island Department of Health
- Successful completion of the national certification exam
- Maintain 24 credits per 2-year cycle with 1 credit in radiation protection
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to evaluate images for technical quality
- Knowledge of radiation protection and safety
- Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues
- Analytical skills to compile and interpret data
Additional Requirements
- Certification must be completed within 6 months of date of hire
- Must remain in good standing with ARRT
