Job Summary
Per diem Radiographer responsibilities include performing a variety of diagnostic radiographic procedures under the direction of the Radiology Director and Diagnostic Team Leader, ensuring optimal imaging quality and patient care, adhering to ALARA radiation safety standards, selecting appropriate technical factors, operating imaging equipment, and maintaining accurate records and compliance with HIPAA. The role includes assisting with orienting/training radiology students and new staff, participating in ongoing education (minimum 12 ARRT CE credits per year), and fulfilling mandatory annual education requirements. Requires influenza vaccination as a condition of employment and may require on-call coverage for holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Radiography Technologist (RT) - ARRT - upon hire
- CPR - issued through an organization that requires hands-on instructor-led verification
- High School Diploma / GED Required
- Radiologic Technology - Technical Diploma Required
- At least two (2) years of work experience and/or CHOP affiliated program
- Pediatric Experience preferred
- ARRT compliance with 12 CE credits/year
