Job Summary
Conduct radiographic exams by taking x-rays while following established protocols and positioning techniques. Provide patients with procedural explanations and appropriate positioning prior to imaging. Practice radiation protection measures to minimize exposure for patients and employees. Assist with triaging, discharge, and basic patient care as the radiology workflow allows. Measure and record vital signs including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and height/weight. Perform simple laboratory tests such as EKGs, urine specimen collection, and influenza nasal swabs. Work 12+ hour shifts with scheduling flexibility for weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent
- Completion of an approved R.T program
- Current ARRT certification
- Maryland State Radiographer License
- CPR Certification
- Minimum one year of clinical experience in a physician's office or hospital
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Understanding of human anatomy
- Proficiency in operating x-ray equipment
- Superior customer service skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to comply with the company travel policy
- Ability to work 12+ hour shifts
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods
- Ability to lift 25 lbs
- Scheduling flexibility, including weekends and holidays
