Job Summary
Senior-level Radio Communications Specialist positioned to provide Program Management, Administrative, and Engineering Support for USG customer communications-based projects in the Springfield area. The role requires extensive experience with tactical communications systems (ICOM/Motorola/Harris) and related platforms (BASIS, GENESIS), site surveys, and procurement processes. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, adhere to security and safety standards, and perform specialized equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades. Travel up to 50% OCONUS (and 10% CONUS) is expected. A TS/SCI clearance with Poly is required on day one, with willingness to pursue weapons training and Tower Climbing certification within one year. The position emphasizes senior program management, administrative, and engineering support across cyber, data operations, systems integration, and intelligence mission-support services for government customers, with an emphasis on leading and supporting mission-critical communications projects in dynamic and potentially hazardous environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- TS/SCI with Poly on day one
- Six (6) or more years direct experience with sponsor tactical communications projects and design including ICOM/Motorola/Harris equipment
- Direct experience with sponsor systems including BASIS and GENESIS
- Knowledge of CIP and field training of personnel
- Ability to explain technical procedures to technical and non-technical audiences
- Working knowledge of policies and regulations related to the completion of assigned work
- Ability to travel up to 50% OCONUS and 10% CONUS as required
- Willingness to obtain weapons training and Tower Climbing Certification within 1 year
- Ability to meet security and safety standards and procurement processes
- Ability to perform installations, modifications, and upgrades of specialized equipment and systems
- Ability to test and resolve tier 1 and tier 2 equipment problems
- Clearance: TS/SCI with Poly
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
