Job Summary
Deliver a planned course of basic and routine radiation therapy (e.g., 4-field pelvis, anterior/posterior lung, whole brain, head-and-neck, breast tangents) and utilize RT equipment. Achieve competency across specialized modalities including Total Body Irradiation, IMRT, IGRT, Fractionated Stereotactic and Neutron regimens. Observe patient condition and provide emotional support; maintain detailed daily records of technical, legal, and statistical treatment components; perform QA tests on equipment; assist radiation oncologists in tumor localization, simulation, dosimetry, and CT-based planning; acquire CT images as required for planning and execution. Requires licensure to practice in WA and ARRT registration with six months of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed by the State of Washington to practice and administer radiation
- Registered as a radiation therapy technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or equivalent organization
- Six months of experience in one or more specialized radiation therapy areas
