Job Summary
Radiation Therapy Medical Physicist to join a well-established team at MercyOne Des Moines Cancer Center with multiple clinics (Downtown Des Moines, Clive, Creston IA). Work alongside 3 Physicists, 5 Radiation Oncologists, 6.5 Dosimetrists and IT/Service support. The role emphasizes a 40-hour work week, board-eligible/board-certified status, and an MS/PhD with residency training to support high-end equipment (Varian TrueBeam/EXpv, iX, Trilogy; CyberKnife; HDR; CT scanners) and software systems (Mosaiq OIS, Eclipse TPS, Velocity, RadMachine, QA tools). Day-one benefits and a robust multidisciplinary environment are highlighted, with emphasis on mentorship to pass boards on the first attempt and a newly renovated clinic.
Required Qualifications
- MS or PhD
- completed a therapy medical physics residency
- board certified or board eligible
