Job Summary
Radiation Therapy Medical Physicist sought to join a multidisciplinary Cancer Center team in Des Moines, IA. The role involves clinical medical physics support for radiation therapy, including operation and quality assurance of linear accelerators (Varian TrueBeam, EXpv, iX, Trilogy), CyberKnife, HDR, CT scanners, and related treatment planning and QA software (Eclipse TPS, Mosaiq, Velocity, RadMachine, ClearCalc, ClearCheck). The candidate will collaborate with Radiation Oncologists, Dosimetrists, and IT/Service engineering across multiple IA clinics, participate in daily operation with a focus on 40-hour weeks, and leverage an MS or PhD with residency training and board certification/eligibility to ensure high-quality patient care. Required Qualifications
- MS or PhD in medical physics or closely related field
- completed a therapy medical physics residency
- board certified or board eligible
- experience with Varian linear accelerators (e.g., TrueBeam, EXpv, iX, Trilogy) and CyberKnife
- familiarity with Eclipse TPS, Mosaiq, Velocity, and QA procedures
- strong collaboration with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and physicists
- 40-hour work week and day-one benefits
