Job Summary
Review patient history, physician orders, and treatment plans while educating patients on procedures to ensure cooperation. Collaborate with physicians and dosimetrists to determine treatment plans, then deliver therapy according to specifications while continuously monitoring patient status. Prepare equipment and supplies, including linear accelerators, by selecting exposure factors and performing quality control procedures. Position patients for imaging, analyze results to identify quality issues, and take corrective action such as re-positioning or repeating procedures. Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions as necessary within a fast-paced environment requiring critical thinking and minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Technologist program
- ARRT(T) Certification
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
