Radiation Therapist

Administers radiation therapy as prescribed by a physician in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Reviews patient history, physician’s orders and radiation therapy treatment plan; educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation. Determines patient treatment plan in collaboration with physician and dosimetrist; delivers therapy according to treatment plan; monitors patient condition and reports changes as appropriate. Prepares equipment including linear accelerator; selects exposure factors and imaging parameters; implements safety standards and performs quality control procedures on equipment; troubleshoots malfunctions as necessary. Positions patient and performs imaging procedures; analyzes results and addresses image quality issues; enters and reports scan results. Requires critical thinking, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Onsite role with no hybrid/remote option in Colorado Springs, CO.
